ESGC Competition News

Essex & Suffolk Gliding Club is a member of the East Anglian Region of the Inter-Club League, which is a relatively informal association of British gliding clubs who meet for weekend competitions based at each others' airfields. Points are awarded to a club depending upon the finishing places of its competing pilots, and the overall highest-scoring club in each Regional League goes forward to fly in the National Inter-Club League final.

CLASSES:

NOVICE:

Not competed in a rated competition (i.e. Regionals/Nationals) by April 1st. Not flown a 300km Gold Distance Leg by April 1st. Required to fly a glider of the same handicap as a Pegasus (95), or less.

INTERMEDIATE:

Not competed in a National level competition by April 1st. Not flown a 500km Diamond Distance by April 1st. Can fly a glider of any handicap.

PUNDIT:

Any pilot flying a glider of any handicap.
